How We Rate Providers
Our rankings are driven by quiz answers, not ad spend. Here's exactly how it works.
Where our data comes from
Every provider listing is built from three sources:
- 1.The provider's own website — pricing, medication options, state availability, and program structure are taken directly from the provider's current public pages.
- 2.FDA and regulatory sources — medication approvals, prescribing indications, and compounding status are verified against FDA.gov and relevant regulatory filings.
- 3.Manual verification — each listing is reviewed by our editorial team before publication and includes a last verified date.
Pricing and availability change frequently in this market. If you notice something is out of date, please let us know.
How the quiz scores providers
The quiz asks about your insurance status, budget, medication preference, support style, and other factors. Each provider has a set of tags representing the types of patients it serves well. The scoring engine matches your answers to provider tags and calculates a match percentage.
Not all questions are weighted equally. Factors that have the biggest practical impact on whether a provider works for you — like budget fit and insurance support — are given more weight than secondary preferences. Providers that don't match a given dimension are not penalized; they simply don't receive points for it.
The final match percentage reflects how well a provider covers your specific situation, not an absolute quality score. A provider ranked #3 for you may be the #1 pick for someone with different answers.
What we don't do
- ✕We do not accept payment from providers to improve their ranking or match score
- ✕We do not remove negative information about providers in exchange for a partnership
- ✕We do not list providers we have not been able to verify are actively operating
- ✕We do not make clinical recommendations — our tool matches you to providers, not treatments
Affiliate relationships
RxPickr earns a commission when you click a provider link and sign up. This is how the site is funded. The commission rate varies by provider and does not influence quiz scoring or ranking.
Some providers listed on this site — including LillyDirect — do not have affiliate programs. They are included because they are relevant options for patients.
